Tea can increase insulin activity by more than 15 times.  Green, Black and Oolong Tea can increase insulin activity; however, the greatest activity is elicited by EGCg. Milk, cream, soy,  or other non-dairy creamers reduce the insulin-enhancing activity.  Lemon juice had no effect (USDA Study)

Type II diabetics lowered their blood sugar levels by 15 to 20 percent by drinking 6 cups of tea per day for 8 weeks.  (USDA study)
